Amarillo Angels is a local non-profit that supports foster families. They are just entering into their second year here in Amarillo. This event if for the older foster kids who are preparing for prom. Amarillo Angels wanted to make sure that any foster kid in the Amarillo/Canyon area who wanted to go to prom had that opportunity.

The Prom Closet, invited Rellas (girls) and Fellas (guys) to shop for a prom dress or attire at no cost to the teen or their foster family. There were dresses and shoes for the Rellas and Tux rental vouchers for the Fellas. The teens also had a chance to get hair and makeup tips, as well as some cool goodie bags. 

We wanted to make the event a fun and personal experience for each teen. All teens in the Amarillo/Canyon area who were planning to attend prom received an invitation to the prom closet. 

We look forward to providing the prom closet as long as we have teens in the foster system.
